Cheap Plantronics Polaris Headsets Guide – A10-11 Amplified Cord

Phone and Headsets has found a great way to buy Plantronics headsets so they work the same way as a Polaris headset, but also work out cheaper.

What are Polaris Headsets

For years Plantronics have made the Polaris range of headsets because there are telephones on the market that need a specific type of headset. One type of telephone that needs the Plantronics Polaris headset is the BT Meridian, because if you buy a standard headset, users cannot be heard properly.

The Plantronics Polaris headsets come in many different wearing styles such as:

· Plantronics Polaris Encore Headset P91 / P91N / P101 / P101N
· Plantronics Polaris Tristar Headset P81

However, because these Polaris headsets are specific for only a few types of telephones they do cost more than a standard headset. This may be because the cost of making a smaller quantity of headsets is higher or maybe the physical parts cost more.

Another problem with buying Polaris headsets for specific telephones is when you change your telephone system. If you have purchased a lot of headsets you may find that you also need to start again and buy from new.

Plantronics Polaris Headset Alternative

Recently Plantronics have introduced an amplified cable called the A10-11/A cable which will convert a standard headset into a Polaris one. With the standard headsets being so much cheaper, even when you add the Plantronics A10-11/A amplified cable it still works out cheaper.

For example a Plantronics SupraPlus H251 headset added with the Plantronics A10-11/A cable, is the same as a Plantronics Polaris SupraPlus P251. In fact, Phone and Headsets has recently found out that the Polaris range of headsets is being replaced by Plantronics, and the Plantronics A10-11 amplified cord with the standard headset will be the recommended solution.
